- Description
- Humpback whales migrate to Tonga every year to mate, give birth and nurse their baby. This year we were very fortunate to swim with several pair of mothers and calves. Considering that humpback whales have nearly been driven to extinction by whaling, and that the Tongan humpback population is still classified as endangered, it is a privilege to see a mother with her offspring.
